WESTERN AUSTRALIA - Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef

The Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef is one of Western Australia’s most prized possessions. It is nestled within the Western Australia Cape Range National Park and boasts a safari camp that places visitors just 50m from the turquoise ocean on one side and 2km from the limestone range on the other, while hidden amongst the warm, low-lying dunes.

The camp consists of 5 spacious safari tents, designed to convey that sense of being in the Australian wild with the added comforts of home (and a few extra luxuries). Each tent is equipped with a top-quality bed, linen, towels and en-suite bathroom. While these tents are luxurious and welcoming, they do not offer televisions or similar technology, as this would detract from the authenticity of living in wild Australia.

The main camp is elevated, boasting incredible views of the reef and ocean, inciting the senses and calming the body and soul. The bar and lounge area are the ideal venues in which to relax with a refreshing drink while taking in the stunning surrounds. The gourmet menu is brimming with traditional Australian fare, infused with some native flavours.

Significantly, the safari camp has been constructed and is run with environmental responsibility and sustainability at the top of the priority list. This means that it makes as little impact on the environment (fauna and flora) as possible, while encouraging guests to learn about and participate in the sustenance of the country’s natural resources. Power is obtained by solar generators, toilets use composting technology and nature-friendly soaps and shampoos are provided.

While visiting Western Australia and, specifically, Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef, guests are encouraged to take advantage of the water sports and activities available. These include taking guided tours of the reef, with its abundance of marine life, as well swimming with the impressive Whale Sharks and Manta Rays. Alternatively, see the reef from the comfort

of your own kayak, or snorkel amongst its life forms. The park is home to a multitude of animals, many of which are unique to Australia. See wallabies, kangaroos and Emus as you explore the expanse of the grounds. Experienced guides conduct trips through the gorge, exposing fossils and remnants of the ancient people that once occupied this spectacular area.

Western Australia is rich in its natural, historical and cultural heritage. Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef offers visitors to this state the ideal opportunity to immerse themselves in such natural abundance, while enjoying 5-star treatment and opulence.
